Project Summary: 

Located in a canyon created by the Choqueyapu River, city growth becomes increasingly difficult as it climbs up the mountain side. As a result, a cable car network has become the most efficient source of mass public transportation. In order to keep up with growth and transit needs, the city needed elevator structures built to transport the residents to the network’s stations. The client who has headed up all civil construction projects for the cable car stations in La Paz and AT-PAC, were both chosen to lead the design and erection process in a timely manner.

Customer Challenges:

The project needed to be completed within a timely manner to get the transit system in functioning condition. Due to the rough terrain and requirements that were not anticipated prior to the start of the job, various products were necessary to complete the project.

AT-PAC Solution: 

• A warehouse was created with a “pay-as-you-go” method to ensure the client had any product they needed at the moment.
• AT-PAC assisted with the complete engineering design using our Ringlock O-Type.

Impact:

• Unlike other public transit system projects, the cable car network was completed on time due to AT-PAC’s “pay-as-you-go” warehouse.
• AT-PAC’s dedicated engineering team assisted with the complete engineering design to ensure the scaffold maintained all regulations while creating an effective scaffold design at the most cost effective rate for our customer.
• The versatility of AT-PAC’s Ringlock system allowed for the erection of scaffold on the difficult terrain in La Paz.
